Sunday, 18th February 2018   TUTBURY, FAULD AND HANBURY    9 miles  5 hrs   Grade 2
Start Time: 10:00am    Grid Ref: SK211289. The post code for the start point is DE139NE which is Duke Street Car Park, Tutbury
A countryside ramble starting in the centre of Tutbury heading across open fields to the Tutbury Weir before heading in the direction of Fauld. There is a gentle climb through woodland and on to the site of the Fauld disaster which is the site of the UK's largest explosion. Beware, unexploded bombs (don't worry we skirt around the edge of the infamous crater). We then head to the village of Hanbury before making our way back to Tutbury with views of Tutbury Castle as we head back into the village. A walk with craters, castles and plenty of mud so bring your gaiters and don't forget your lunch. There will be an opportunity for a pub stop during the walk if we wish and of course a pub at the end. Lunch required.
