Sunday, 14th January 2018   A BUNCH OF CLENTS (AND WASELEYS)    10 miles  5 hrs   Grade 2
Start Time: 10:30am    Grid Ref: SO925797. Start point will be the free car park at Adams Hill (Postcode is DY9 9PS, for sat-nav purposes. Also Four Stones Inn will get you to start point). Clent lays between Halesowen and West Hagley. Take the M5 and come off at J3 or J4 Please note it is Adams Hill car park, not Nimmings Wood (about 1.5 miles away), so best to go off the postcode.
From Adams Hill, we head down into Clent itself and then on to Romsley via the Waseley Hills Country Park. There should be an opportunity for at least 1 pub stop and a cafe stop at The Windmill Visitors Centre (if open) on Waseley Hills, where there are also toilets. Both the Clents and Waseleys offer great views from the top. We return via the North Worcestershire Path, Walton Hill and Four Stones. There are flatter sections of this walk but I can also guarantee quite a lot of steep ascent/descent. Gaiters advised as some paths were muddy during the recce. Bring a head torch, if you have one, as there may be fading light towards the end of the walk. Lunch required.
Walk leader: Martin 07899 832520 "Thanks Tchaikovsky. Thaikovsky." GoogleMaps   Area Map    Start Point Map

Points to Remember:
1. Please call the walk leader before the walk in case any details have changed.
2. Make sure that you are suitably dressed for the weather. Remember that some walks are on exposed high land and the weather can be cold and wet. Denim jeans are not suitable for high-level walks.
3. Dogs are welcome but only with the prior agreement of the walk leader
4. If the walk leader decides to shorten the walk then that decision is final and is not open to negotiation. The leader will only do this when there is a good reason for doing so.
5. Even if a walk does not state packed lunch, it is always advisable to bring something to eat and drink.
6. If transport is shared, please provide the driver with a share of the fuel costs.
7. Non RA members are welcome to join us for 3 walks before being asked to join the RA. There are no exceptions to this.
8. Regrettably, due to the nature of the Sunday programme, we are unable to accept children on our these walks.
