Sunday, 31st December 2017   SUSIE'S SALT WALK ABRIDGED - AN AMBLE ON NEW YEARS EVE    5 miles  3 hrs   Grade 2
Start Time: 10:00am    Grid Ref: SJ958277. The walk starts from the Hollybush Inn in Salt, nearest postcode ST18 0BX. Due to the time of year we are unable to use the pub car park, so parking will be on village side roads, this is limited so please car-share where possible, thanks!
We leave the Hollybush Inn and soon head off the road to join the Two Saints Way, passing through open fields and woodland, a point of interest is a memorial stone commemorating the Battle of Hopton Heath in 1643! We continue along the Stone Circles footpath through open countryside and farmers fields, circling back to Salt and the Hollybush Inn. We will be walking along undulating/uneven ground, and there are some short but steep inclines. There will be plenty of mud, and possibly ice depending on weather conditions!
